I love this time of year. There are great clearance items everywhere. I found these frames at Micheals clearanced for only $7!! I bought 3 of each and there were still several left.

Target has clearance a very large portion of all its toys and games and all holiday items are marked down to 50-75% off. I was able to also find Holiday dresses for my girls for only $4 each in sizes that should be perfect for next year.

Want a sneak peak of tomorrow's sales?

Did you know that grocery smarts list makers publish preview lists on Tuesdays for the upcoming sale week (Wednesday-Tuesday) that you can see and make your list from?!? The list previews plus extra tips and coupon matches are published on Pinching Your Pennies (PYP). PYP is a great tool to help extend your savings and give you insider tips for the current shopping week. Also if you find a great deal not published in a store's list you can comment on it on PYP.

I would recommended heading over right now and checking out Albertsons list. Albertsons has another great promo that's going to run from 11/4-11/10.

Tip: The general mills promo is listed as "one per customer." You can shop the promo more than once but your trips will need to be at least 24 hours apart to have the vouchers print

Advanced Tip: USE Pinching Your Pennies

I would LOVE all of us to use Pinching Your Pennies (PYP) MORE!!! You know why? It's a deal forum... they have partnered with Grocery Smarts to create a place for all of us "smart shoppers" to share extra tips, extra matchups and a place for us to ask and answer each other's questions. I wanted to promote it a bit more - as the more of us who use it the MORE valuable it becomes for everyone... so I joined the network and am proud to link you directy to them from my blog! Here's what I love about the website:

1. The Grocery Smarts listmakers post "preview" lists the night before the sales starts... so, if you want to take a peak and hit the sale EARLY or print your coupons FIRST - this is your stop!

2. You can leave comments on what you found (or didn't find) at your store to warn or inform other shoppers.

3. Did an unexpected "catalina" coupon pop out at the register? Leave a comment on PYP to tell everyone about it so we can all benefit from the extra savings!

4. I also love it because of awesome posts like (THIS ONE) where a shopper listed a complete price comparison to COSTCO for everyone to use!!! Do you have something you can post that EVERYONE would LOVE and could use to help them save more?

5. If you ever notice something the Grocery Smarts lists are missing or if you find an error, post about it on PYP. Our listmakers are moderators for PYP, so when they see your comment, they'll double check it and update their list if necessary.

If we all started using the PYP network to connect with each other regarding extra deals, we'll all save more! Plus, if we point out extra matchups, tips or small error corrections - the lists will be more complete and more accurate for everyone.

$.50 Toilet Paper

This week at Smith's Angel Soft 4 packs of 2 ply toilet paper are on sale for $1.00. In the RP 4/19 (the one that came with this week's junk mail) there is a coupon for $.50/1 4 pack or larger making the bottom line $.50.

Want to share deals or post big savings tips? Pinching Your Pennies is an AWESOME forum for doing just that! There isn't a ton of participation yet in the Nevada Forum so I thought I'd do a post to get awareness out there so we can all start using it! Basically, you just register then can share info on extra deals you find as you are out shopping. The Grocery Smarts lists are great, but if you find something extra - this is where you can post it for everyone to see!

I get emails all the time from gals with more deals to share and if we can pass the word around and all start using this forum, it will become a great resource for all of us!
